The Beginning: From a College Club to a Startup Dream

It all started during our college years, where we, a group of 16 individuals, found ourselves working together in a social service club. From organizing city-level events to brainstorming ways to solve real-world challenges, we realized that together, we could do amazing things. Years later, as we reconnected over brainstorming sessions for a startup, one theme united us: our unhealthy lifestyles. Whether it was late-night binges or constantly reaching for junk food, we all wanted to change our habits but didn’t know where to start. That’s when the idea struck—what if we create food that helps people transition from an unhealthy lifestyle to a better one? The dream of BFF was born, inspired by the belief that everyone deserves access to healthier, functional food options. 

A Passion for Better Food

We wanted to create more than just snacks. Our goal was to offer a lifestyle solution, making better and healthy choices easier without compromising on taste. But achieving that balance wasn’t simple—it took over a year of research and development.

Starting a food business seemed exciting, but it came with its fair share of challenges. As a team in our 20s, we had little experience in business—let alone the food industry.

Our first hurdle was understanding the science of ingredients. From figuring out why certain combinations work to ensuring our products meet health standards, it was a steep learning curve.

Then came the hard part—balancing health and flavor. We wanted every bite to be enjoyable and functional. There were countless failed recipes, endless debates, and even moments of doubt. But we believed in our mission, and each challenge made us stronger as a team.
